“Not Getting Lost at Lake Biwa, but Blown Away by Fireworks”
One day during my trip in Shiga, I found out something I didn’t know at all—
That night was the Lake Biwa Fireworks Festival!
I heard there were about 200,000 people watching (that’s like one out of every 600 people in Japan!).
I thought, “Wow, I might really get lost in this huge crowd,”
so I decided to watch from a bit farther away to stay safe.
But distance didn’t matter.
The booming sounds shook my chest, and the fireworks blooming in the night sky
looked like works of art—I couldn’t take my eyes off them.
This unexpected fireworks festival turned my trip into a truly special memory.
「琵琶湖で迷子にならずに、花火で心を打たれる」
滋賀に旅行していたある日、僕は全く知らなかった事実を知ることに。
――なんと、その夜は琵琶湖の花火大会！
聞けば観客は20万人（日本の人口の1/600くらい！）とのこと。
「これは…人混みで本当に迷子になるやつだ」と思い、
安全策として少し離れた場所から観賞することにした。
でもね、距離なんて関係なかった。
ドーン！という低音が胸まで響き、夜空に咲く光の花は
まるで芸術作品みたいで、目が離せなかった。
偶然出会った花火大会が、旅行の思い出を一気に特別なものにしてくれたよ。
